More or less the deck I'm currently playing at our local BG.

It's block constructed, quite easy to play and runs pretty well against most decks.
Whiteout Staff is a real killer against any Alliance deck running allies.
Kimble in the sidedeck is still a debatable card.
Only undead ally that can destroy abilities and equipment, but he's very late game.

Please comment.

Looks like a pretty decent deck to me! and yea lol, whiteout staff is a bit of a killer for ally decks if your deck is setup to abuse it ;)

If you only knew how often I got to use it during our last BG. Dimzer isn't as fun when he basically turns into a "Pay 5, draw a card." ;) And I had a Adam bouncing on the table for 11 turns at least, he didn't want to trade with my Voran. Don't understand why really.. hehe.

Oh yea. I'm a bit hyped about as well, even if I guess I'm blowing this up a bit to much. But I won the last BG with this deck. So lets put up a small battle report.

(6 players, bit lower than usual, all top players however.)

Round 1. Everlasting vs. Ogrimmar deck. (secret tech so I can't say much here as my friends are playing them in worlds as well.)

I can say like this at least. Wub, Taste, Brittilize, EotS and hero flip worked so well against this deck that I never went past 20 damage on my hero. Went 2-0. Win Win.

Round 2. Everlasting vs. Gyro. (Running against one of Sweden's best players.)

Roll of the die and he gets it, choosing to start. I can't really use Wub against this deck so I rather go first to get some rush in, which my deck can do pretty well. Dubble Stab in the Dark kinda ruins my whole game, no allies, no game.. loss.

In with Whiteout and Spell S. and this game quickly turned around, turn 1 and 2 a Farrum hit the table with a Taste for gromble, turn 3 Whiteout. After that there were a very close battle all the way but I managed to keep control and a well timed Mana Ruby into a blizzard at turn 14 to clear the table won me the game by beating him to death turn 15 with a Wub for last damage.

He started again, but into a mulligan and I drew rush hand no1 against his deck basically but without Farrum. He doesn't play much the first turns while I go turn 1 Uncataloged into a Voran, turn 2 voran. He gets Stab and sees my hand of Ruby, Denial, Dethvir, Sivandra, Wub and Last Barov, takes a while before he tosses Sivandra. Turn 3, Sivandra from the top, into play, another Sivandra hits my hand. We're at like turn 8-9 and he's taken control of the table, time gets called. He got like 22 damage and I got 1, table is clear except for my Whiteout, he drops an Adam before giving up, no way he could out damage me in two turns and I win by time. 2-1 Loss Win Win.

Round 3. Everlasting vs. Emek (One of my worst matchups, imo.)

Roll of the die, he goes first and I know I'm basically dead from the start, got nothing main-deck against his horrible combo. It basically goes Terror, Divinity (board wipe), Sivandra, Searing Light, Gavel hits the table turn 5 as expected and I got no way to take care of it. I drop a Sivandra, his turn and he fries me for 24 lethal damage. Bad mojo that deck..

So yea, the whole sideboard goes in except Whiteout, x4 Everlasting, x1 Denial and x2 Wubs goes out. I know that Wub sucks against WotF which I'm up against, but both my flip and Spell S. helps me against that. I start.. pull my starting hand and see Farrum, Farrum, Voran, Deathvir, Taste, Uncataloged and Blizzard.. can hardly get any better. T1 Farrum, Soup on his side, T2 Drew a Proving Ground, plays Farrum, his turn he drops a Glad. Skumm. T3 a new Farrum from the top, play Voran and beats his hero more, blizzard goes as a resource, he drops a Sivandra which gets tasted, tried to attack Farrum with Skumm, ofc I protect. I keep playing dudes one after another and with triple Farrum and no answers, the win goes quickly. Woot, I love playing mage rush.

Last round, he starts and I have no quest or allies after a mulligan, but I think some god liked me as I pull exactly what I need every turn, can't really put on any threat, but some well placed cards keeps the table clean all the way and I slowly hurt him more and more. We're at turn 8 or something where I'm nervous as hell as he hasn't pulled any of his four disperse magic and I've only managed to Supress his Gavel. I've been sitting with Kimble since round 3 and my turn 9 I drop him, tosses a voran to take care of the Gavel before he can respond with something silly. He's 2 damage from being dead and he clears my table with two Divinity a Terror and one of his Searing. I draw a Ruby, nothing on the Ruby to help me, down with a Wub, no resources left, nothing on his side except Undercity which heals him. I drop dubbel deathvir, last barov and nothing.. he heals more, clears one deathvir and my turn, new Ruby, wub, blizzard and britillize.. Game. 2-1 Loss Win Win. :)

Well.. there you have it. Fun matches and it's the first BG in ages I've won.

Nice report :) Bet it was a nice confidence boost to beat one of Swedens best and beating a deck your deck isn't particularly good against, so well done!

Get any nice prizes? or was it just a small local event?

Thanks. I do get to play against him alot and I do beat him from time to time, but I sure did get a confidence boost just winning the BG. I usually always end up second or third for some reason.

Nah, we're often playing free local games, so no real prizez except for EA cards and Badge of Justice cards.

After seeing the Top 8 decks from the worlds, looks like this deck could have done well there! :-)

Now when you mention it, it does seem very similar to most of the horde mages there. :)

I'm suprised however, never thought that Spellweaver would be there hero of the year, even though I did feel it would be a mage. And I always thought that horde would be the stronger mage thanks to Deathvir, being able to soak up damage (I mostly only used him as a shield in every match anyways.) to let the rest of your party do the kill.

I guess that thanks to mostly running abilities and then finnish off with an Elder Achilla and hero flip, the Spellweaver deck could get a more 'omph' out of it's abilities. Well, it's time to get back to building constructed again...

Oh, my local players that went to world.. didn't really cut it I'm afraid. We got a top 83 spot as our best, the rest went over to the DMF and didn't get lucky there either. Maybe next year. :)
